Beach Theme Wedding

Last week's "Beach" themed wedding turned out very nice. Using cream Dendrobium Orchids and blue Delphinium, we created several pieces to reflect the beach feel. The Bamboo centerpiece made a tall, striking statement with just a few orchids, grasses and seashells tucked in the bouquets.

I also created centerpieces in faux shell containers with the Dendrobium Orchids. Just a few Orchids and grasses created quite a focal point for the table, with a base of beach sand under the bouquets.

For the thrid reception bouquet, I used tall cylinder vases with a layer of seashells at the base and two Dendrobium Orchids submergered in water. Very simple, but elegant.

This bouquet was for the "Sweetheart" head table. One large natural Starfish served as the focal point in continuing the beach look. This design also contained Orchids, Delphinium, grasses and seashells. The contrasting table fabric made the bouquet stand out nicely.

The church was decorated with fresh Boston Ferns and large altar bouquets in the same color scheme. We used a soft blue fabric to create a cohesive background.
Check back for more! In two weeks we will be designing a very rich red, gold and purple wedding, using roses, alstroemeria, larkspur and more.

Cream & Red Wedding and Fabric Covered Pergola

After many years of "Martha Stewart" inspired round clutch bouquets, I am happy to say that the regal cascade bouquet is coming back into favor.
I designed this one recently with cream miniature Calla Lilies, "Freedom" deep red roses, Cymbidium Orchids with just a hint of color in the throat and draping cream Dendrobium Orchids. I added just a touch of shimmer with faux crystals, and for foliage used Italian Ruscus and Bear Grass. My bride was thrilled, which in turn makes me thrilled!
For the same wedding, we created this fabric covered Pergola. It served as a special setting for their wedding vows, and the splash of color really made it stand out... a nice change from the traditional arch. Would love to do another with colorful fabric and very tall bouquets attached to the Pergola.
I am blessed to have design skills, and more blessed to have the clientele who allow me to be creative. Looking forward to the "Beach" themed wedding that we will be creating in the next two weeks..many orchids and electric blue delphinium with seashells.
